Fluency Flight is a program within iReady for grades 2–5 that helps students build math fact fluency through engaging, game-based learning focused on accuracy, flexibility, and understanding before moving to automaticity and efficiency. The program is personalized to each student’s learning level and helps them master math facts without pressure from speed.

To earn a “perfect week,” students complete 2 Fluency Flights each day for 4 days in one week. Every 5 perfect weeks earns students a Fact Fluency Recess!

So far, RPS 2nd graders have achieved 3,085 perfect weeks! Some students in this picture have already earned 5 Fluency Flight recesses this year, and  a student from Mr. LaLonde’s class has completed 35 perfect weeks in a row—even working during winter and spring break!
